ZSG Trading Blog

About

Welcome to my Trading Blog: ZSG Trading (Zombie Sniper Gunslinger). My name is Terry and I am a fairly new trader of stocks and options. My first trading Aug 2007 was a losing trade, but we have to start somewhere. I am looking to make this my main source of income for my Family consisting of My Lovely and Talented Wife and my 2 boys: The Elder and The Younger. We also have a dog: The Loud and Loveable Skipper Doodle.

I use InvestTools as my main educational source and a variety of other outlets for my news source about the Market, Analysis, etc. Think Or Swim is my online broker for all of my trading. Right now I have a small account that I am using to become more comfortable with trading.

Specifically about me, I am mid (soon to be late) thirties husband, father, runner. I was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome (an Autistic Spectrum Disorder) in October of 2007, which explains why running ( marathons, road races, triathlons) was such a special interest to me. Trading has been a special interest and I am glad that I can make large bags of cash with this interest!

The Zombie, Sniper and Gunslinger represent my trading style and habits. I would have to say that I am short(er) term trend trader. I don’t particular care in WHICH direction the Market is moving, just as long as it is moving. I am currently trading mostly straight options (calls and puts), but do buy/sell some stocks and am exploring advance option strategies.

As I am learning to trade I am setting real goals on what to do with the profits that I make. It makes the trading more real… just saying “I want to make lots of money” is not a specific enough goal. I say “I want to make $600 so I can buy a Wii for the family” is a specific goal.

As I have been typing, I am a Trader, which is not to be confused with Investor. I have my 401ks and other retirement accounts to do my “investing” for me. This is trading, this is my business and this is my blog.

Note: Nothing on this blog is a suggestion to buy or sell, this is my trading style. My Risk is NOT the same as Your  Risk. I use my own technical analysis and other signals to decide whether or not I should get into or out of a trade, you should to!
